The bride would bring in 4000 gld. When Ezechiel withdrew from his business in 1737 Samuel stayed in the house and went into business with his brother Jonas. The part nership was dissolved in 1741. After he sold the house to Jonas' son Benjamin he seems to have kept on living in a few rooms of the house. He died 3 Ijar 1775 and was buried in Amersfoort. The author mentions five children: Maria (probably Marianne), Rachel, Ezechiel, Salomon and Aron. Of Maria and Rachel he knew no details. Amersfoortse Muurhuizen, Sandra Riemers den Dulk: Samuel bought the large house in the Muurhuizen from his father in 1742 , and sold it to his nephew Benjamin Jonas Cohen in april 1753, stipulating that, if Benjamin would rent it out before May 1753, Samuel and Hanna could still have the us e of one or two rooms, He later moved to Amsterdam where he died 3 May 1775, though he was buried in Amersfoort.
