Samuel Ezechiel Cohen, birth after 1704 Amersfoort, Not yet born when the family got civil rights in Amersfoort in 1704, died 3 May 1775 Amsterdam?, Burials in Amersfoort: Sjmoe'eel died 27 Apr 1778. Son of Jechezkel, rabbi. He does not appear in the "Eemlandse klapper 28" which includes the deaths of Jews in Amersfoort between 1759 and 1811, son of Ezechiel Salomon Cohen and Marritje Meerle Emanuel Cohen

Marriage conditions 8 Dec 1729, notaris van Loon, between Ezechiel Cohen (grooms father) and Roosje Arons (brides mother): groom will bring in 2500 gld cash, the couple will live for two years with Ezechiel, Samuel would for the first four year s with his fathers company get one third and after that one half of the profits. The bride would bring in 4000 gld. When Ezechiel withdrew from his business in 1737 Samuel stayed in the house and went into business with his brother Jonas. The part nership was dissolved in 1741. After he sold the house to Jonas' son Benjamin he seems to have kept on living in a few rooms of the house. He died 3 Ijar 1775 and was buried in Amersfoort.
The author mentions five children: Maria (probably Marianne), Rachel, Ezechiel, Salomon and Aron. Of Maria and Rachel he knew no details.

Amersfoortse Muurhuizen, Sandra Riemers den Dulk:
Samuel bought the large house in the Muurhuizen from his father in 1742 , and sold it to his nephew Benjamin Jonas Cohen in april 1753, stipulating that, if Benjamin would rent it out before May 1753, Samuel and Hanna could still have the us e of one or two rooms, He later moved to Amsterdam where he died 3 May 1775, though he was buried in Amersfoort.
Benjamin had his pawnshop/bank in the house before he rented it out to someone else in 1779.

Father Samuel wrote in 1764 that both Salomon and his bride Roosje/Hodes were minors: < 25 years. That clashes with their est age at death.
