Joseph van Dijk, birth 29 Jun 1857 Alem, died 24 FebR 1934 Zutphen, buried Zutphen, section 4, row 12, plot 4, son of Izaak van Dijk and Elizabeth (Sara Perle) van Leeuwen
They lived in Oss, Molenstraat 40 untill 1926 (?), at which time they moved to live with their daughter Elisabeth and son-in-law Emanuel in Zutphen.
He had a retail business dealing in drygoods, and was an antique collector, starting by bartering in his early years.
The building at the Molenstraat in Oss had two residences attached, one for himself, and one for his son Isidor. This building was the original office building of the Unilever concern. During WW2 the building was 'sold' to an accountant de Bruin , and it took close to ten years for the deed to be restored to the 'undivided estate of Jozef van Dijk'. When this was finally accomplished, the property was sold.

He had a retail store in drygoods and ready made clothing for men and women.

On 18 February 1932 she moved to Enschede. In 1935 she operated a resthome at the Plantage Parklaan 8-II in Amsterdam.

They lived in Zierikzee, were forced to evacuate to Amsterdam during WWII, and deported from there. to:
