(Sh e probably has it confused with 1849). 1849 Rotenburger Burgerliste, (Sigrid Peters, Op. Cit.) lists the name of Jacob Heinemann Cohn. 11/8/1851 application ("Acta, betreffend das Gesuch des Israeliten Jacob Heimann Cohn aus Rotenburg sic h in Rotenburg selbstandig zu besetzen und verheiraten zu durfenØ/Concerning the request of the Jew, Jacob Heimann Cohn of Rotenburg to live, work and marry there 1851-53, Rep. 74 Rotenburg Nr. 1143, State Archive Stade) states that he was bor n 22/11/1818 in Rotenburg. 1851 Rotenburg Judische Personenstandlisten, (29781) states tha t he was born 11/1818; 1900 death certificate (Jacob H CohnØ, Op. Cit) stated that he was 81 years, 9 months and 28 days old at the time of his death (b.12/1818). It also states that he was buried at Machpelah Cemetery in NY. CohenØ) states that he was 47 (b. 1822/23) born in Hannover; 1870 US census (NY, NY, 2nd Enumer., Ward 21, District 13, line 24, L. H.
