Andre Nicais
to: Rosalie Rebecca-Dodo Hartog, birth 17 Apr 1924 Linkebeek,Brussels, died 28 May 1995 Sart Dames Avelines,Belgium, occupation: Bookkeeper&Tax-consultant, daughter of Louis-Levie Hartog and Elisabeth-Bep Goudstikker Dodo came over to Bussum (where we were living.SLW) in 1941, when my brother Hans was born, to help out with my mother. Never having much contact, I stayed informed through tante Roos Hartogs-Wijnbergen and Maaike W.-de Koning in Ehv, so I knew sh e had heart-trouble. Dodo worked all her married live very hard to provide for her family, as her husband-painter never earned much. She even mentioned still working in her last letter with photos of 1941 (14.11.1994). She died of cancer of th e liver and left her body to science. |
