Their is confusion about the names of father and son: census 1810,son is called Salomon Heymans. Matsewa of Froemet-Veronica Wijnberg(73 ) bat Isaak Hijmans(sister of Chaim-Hijman),14.5.1874. In 1803 he was among the signers of a document of Regulations of the Kehilla - for the Good Order and Quiet in Shul.

According to list of Matsewot from Eindhoven Jacob died on a Shabat. In the census of 1810,Ehv.65) as witness and cousin(!), 2.12.1816, living Regt estraat 325, Ehv. On 16.12.1811 he took the name of Goudsmit. Jacob may have been the son of his father's second wife: Kaatje Samuels. He may have been born in Eersel N.Br.
