Kathryn CHRISTIAN, died 1934 Possibly Cathryn \\Christian Agner\\: From an email from Richard Vas Dias, he advises that Kathryn, or Kitty as she was known, had the surname of 'Christian'. and not Agner, as was widely reported earlier on. Henry's first wife, Edith Agner from Staunton, Virginia died some time after giving birth to Joe, Richard's half brother. He believes that Henry was living in Philadelphia at the time and hired a housekeeper to take care of Sam (James Samuel) an d Carl (Joe was being reared back in Virginia). This was Kathryn or 'Kitty', as the boys always called her. He then married her. When Kitty died, the family was living in NYC. Richard goes on to say that 'He met my mom at the Waldorf where she was one of two secretaries to the Hotel's president, Lucius J. Boomer. Her full name was Claire Mae Holland. |
