Lion Potsdammer, birth 25 MEI 1894 Steenwijk, died 9 Jul 1943 Sobibor, son of Aron Potsdammer and Adele Danielson He was a rabbi. 'Het Joodse Weekblad' page 273, published in 1989 reported that in 1944 the family van Dijk who were hiding together with relatives below the hotel Gottschalk located at the Waterstraat in Zaltbommel experienced a raid by the Germans, who were tip ped that a resistance meeting was being held there. The owner of the hotel was shot dead as well as one Jewish lady. Three Jewish women were sent on transport.
