Sigmond Berendsen, birth 2 Dec 1890 Wisch, died 25 Jan 1960 Doetinchem, son of Mozes Berendsen and Elisabeth Gans He was a cattle dealer. to: Sophia (Fie) van Dijk, birth 26 Jun 1899 Geffen, died 23 Jun 1944 Rotterdam, daughter of Izaak van Dijk and Antje van Dijk She moved to Oss on 19 March 1928. While in hiding at the home of Jan and Ned van der Hoek -Eland in Zwartewaal (the parents of Riet de Leeuw van Weenen), she had to move several times. In Feb 1944 she fell seriously ill and had to be hospitalized. Because she did not have prope r false ID yet, she had to leave the hospital. Provided with an ID she was admitted to another hospital, where she died. This 'non esxisting individual' was registered by the resistance at city hall and buried in Portugaal. After the liberation sh e was re-interred in the Jewish cemetery Toepad in Rotterdam. |
