Deported from MALINES,CASERNE DOSSIN,Camp in Belgium Moved to Ostende in 1939 De gezinnen van Herman en Simon werden op 26.09.1942 met het 11de konvooi uit Mechelen naar Auschwitz gedeporteerd. Het konvooi bestaat uit 1742 personen, waaronder 523 kinderen. Bij aankomst in Auschwitz op 28.09.1942 wordt 80% meteen vergast (het hoogste aantal uitroeiingen van de hele Belgische deportatie). 30 gedeporteerden (1,7%) overleefden de oorlog (KLARSFELD, S. en STEINBERG, M., Memoriaal van de deportatie der joden uit Belgiče, Vereniging der joodse weggevoerden in Belgiče, Brussel, 1982, 26). |
