Married 1646 to: Soelka Boas, daughter of Raw Chaim Boas and Sarah Excerpts from Glueckl's diary "...it was also a pleasure to know his children (the children of Gl?ckl's father-in-law, rvk). When his eldest son Moses... left for his own marriage he was accompanied by the learned Rabbi Moses and a servant known as 'Shot Jacob'. He had his dowry with him. When they neared Bremervorde they were attacked by thieves, robbed of all they had and all three were left dang erously wounded. They were brought into the town...The doctors said that the bridegroom and Rabbi Moses would live but that the servant was mortally wounded. After two days Jacob was alive and the other two had died... I knew the other son... .. When very young he was sent to Poland to study...He became the bridegroom of the daughter of Reb Chaim Boas of Posen...When war with Chmelnicki broke out (1648-1654, rvk)...he and his wife and daughter fled...to the house of my father-in-law. Th e birth of this daughter was a miracle. For seventeen years his wife was barren. Seven years later she bore a son, Samuel..." this confirms all the relationships. it only says that Sulka's father was Chaim Boas of Posen, and her mother was Sara assuming that Samuel was born in 1670, it would follow that Sara was born in 1663 and that Abraham and Sulka married in 1646 it also follows that Sulka's mother Sara died around 1663 |
