The first letters -in Hebrew- from the third to the sixth line on the tombstone are the acrostichon of her name Esther. Married 8 Dec 1847 Zaltbommel, Gelderland, Nederland to: Hartog HARTOG, birth 2 Apr 1818 Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, Nederland, died 29 Jul 1894 Zaltbommel, Gelderland, Nederland, occupation: Sigarenmaker, son of Jonas HARTOG and Veronica HARTOG Het handelsmerk van zijn sigaren was "Wateloo". Hij lefde in de Gamesestraat 585 te Zaltbommel, daar was hij bestuurslid van de Joodse gemeenschap en in 1854 legde hij samen met de andere bestuursleden de hoeksteen van de synagoge. Zijn latere adressen waren; Koningstraat 400 Wijk C en Op de Wal 75. The trademark of his cigars was "Waterloo" and lived Gamersestraat 585, Zaltbommel. He was committee member of the Jewish Community and in 1864 he laid the corner-stone of synagogue there, together with his fellow committee members.
