Nathan Blomhoff (in sources also spelled Blomhof) was a commercial representative in Tilburg, but moved to Uccle near Brussels, where he had a big shop for electrical appliances, wireless apparatus, televion sets etc. He graduated in economics, wo rking for a Dutch firm holding several electronic shops, before starting on his own account. He wanted to escape to Switzerland, but was caught by the Germans. After he was released, with the help of a friendly police officer, who left the cell ke ys within his reach. He succeeded to hide in Brussels. In hiding he posed as an Italian professor of music, always accompanied by a violin case.

After his business being closed at the bidding of the occupier, one of the employees managed to hide the stock of the business and by gradually selling it, he supplied money for Nathan's subsistence. This meant however that after the liberation no thing was left over and that he had to start from stretch.
He remarried in Brussels, but no details are given on this second marriage.
He died in Brussels on Saturday morning the 29th of April 1972 in his car, after leaving his office, due to a heart attack. The car drove in a busy business street into a wall, with a dead driver at the wheel.

Nathan was since 1965 president of the Ganenou Jewish school in Brussels to which he contributed generously. He was an active member of the Belgian Friends of the Hebrew University and Fonds de Solidarite. His name is memorized on a plaque in th e Belgian House on the Givat Ram campus of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He had an important influence on the developing Israeli electronic industry.

Eva "disappeared" on 6 jul 1942.

As told she was studying music in Paris when the Germans invaded.

In the early 1960 Nathan remarried a widow with 2 daughters, who survived him.
