Osmond Elim D'avigdor-Goldsmid, birth 9 Aug 1877 LONDON, ENGLAND, died AprIL 1940 LONDON, ENGLAND, son of Elim Henry D'avigdor and Henrietta Jacobs Born August, 9, 1877; died April, 1940, in London. On being created a Baronet of the UK 22 Jan. 1934, Sir Osmond resigned from all rights to his foreign titles. Thus, the titles of Prince and Duke d'Acquaviva were inherited by the descendant s of his uncle Count Sergei d'Avigdor. In 1912 he became High Sheriff of the county of Kent. Within the Jewish community he served as president of the Anglo-Jewish Association (1921-26), of the British Board of Deputies (1926-33), chairman of th e Jewish Colonization Association, and treasurer of the Jewish Memorial Council.
