1) Jacob Abas, birth ONG 1748 Amsterdam, died 13 Jan 1787 Batavia, from the Reformed Church burial register: on 13 Jan 1787 the corpse of the visitor of the sick Jacobus Abas was carried out of the house death at the Binnen Nieuwpoortstr.
After much turmoil about his belief, during which he left his family and spent time in London and Germany, he converted in 1782 to Chistianity in The Reformed church in Zutphen. The priest who performed his baptise, published the case in a booklet . Afterwards he left for the East=Indies to become a sick-visitor in service of his church.
