Event: event 11 Jan 1729 Amsterdam Philip Jacobs, who already lives 12 yrs. in this town and is married to Sara Moses, who was born there, wants to become member of the Jewish community. His application is however returned with a denial.
He write a request to the city council (Schepenen) in which he asks them to pronounce a decision, which will order the parnassim to comply with his wish.
The decision of the council is however negative: 'nobody can be a member (of de Hooduijtse Joodse Kerk) who behaves contrarely to the orders of the parnassim'
