Event: event between 1806 and 1810 mohel Isaac Juda Levie on Wednesday 24 Adar I 567 appear in the reception room of the Parnassim Samuel ben Koopman Hena & Eizik ben k"h Juda Levie and request, after they have found out, that a child, which has been circucised by aforementioned Eizik, now is kept in th e Aalmoezeniershuis [non-jewish orphanage] and they would like to take it out of there, and care for its alimentation, and therefor they rquest from the Parnassim to give them an attestation, that both of them are mohalim [circimcisers], and tha t both of them have declared wanting to take care of the alimentation of this child, and this was confirmed, and the following attestation was provided: We undersigned, provisionally functioning Parnassim of the Ashkenazi Jewish Community certify by this, that Isaac Juda Levie & Samuel Koopman Hanau are part of the functioning mohalim of the young born children inour community, that as well in ou r presence they have solemnly taken upon them to take this child Nathan Hartog, circumcised not long ago by the first of them, and currently kept and alimentated under the name of Lodewijk de Hoop in the Aalmoezeniershuis here in town, to their ca re, as soon as the aforenamed child will be freed from this house, and be responsible for his upkeeping and alimentation.
