From journals of the years 1784/5 it seems, that he cooperated with an Englishman. Abt. 1833 moving to the Elsas, and dying there in Gruebwiller on 29 Sep 1853, 79 yrs & 4 months old. property dealer, merchant, industrialist. business partners, probably siblings: - Joseph, born abt 1776. Abt 1807 partner in Liverpool. Afterwards departed to South Carolina, married there, and deceased there. Was baptised in Church of England in 1804 in Liverpool. - John, born abt 1784. He was married on 23 Jyly 1823 in New York to Harriet Williman, daughter of Christopher Williman, born on 4 Mar 1784.
