From journals of the years 1784/5 it seems, that he cooperated with an Englishman. In 1779 in the archive of Amsterdam a mentioning of Ezechiel de Jong & Annaatje Piek; probably a bankruptcy. resided 1794 in Vlissingen (info courtesy of Loes Buisman), son of Meyer Joseph Juzpe de Jong Rintel and Eva Ezechiel Cohen-Amesfoort Married 15 Sep 1771 Amsterdam, dtb 746/165 on 8 Aug 1771; witn.groom: m.Eva Cohen; witn.bride: uncle Abraham Pijk. (info based on a substantial contribution by Loes Buisman): groom: Ezechiel de Jongh/Jonge, from Amsterdam, jew, 30 yrs.old, at Fluwelen Burgwal; his mother Eva Cohen in Metz; bride: Annaatje Pijk, from Harteveld, jewess, 19 yrs.old, parents deceased, assisted by her uncle Abraham Pijk. the groom's mother's consent to this marriage is introduced on 13 September 1771, signed Ezechiel de Jongh. Abt. 1833 moving to the Elsas, and dying there in Gruebwiller on 29 Sep 1853, 79 yrs & 4 months old. property dealer, merchant, industrialist. business partners, probably siblings: - Joseph, born abt 1776. Abt 1807 partner in Liverpool. Afterwards departed to South Carolina, married there, and deceased there. Was baptised in Church of England in 1804 in Liverpool. - John, born abt 1784. He was married on 23 Jyly 1823 in New York to Harriet Williman, daughter of Christopher Williman, born on 4 Mar 1784.
