Abraham Joseph Jozlen Levie, son of Joseph Moshe-Joseph-Jozlen Levie and N.N. Event: event Sep 1732 Amsterdam on 24 Elul 5492 appears before the trustees of the jewish community the couple Lea bat late Judaleib Segal z.l. & spouse naaleh Abraham bar Moshe Joseph Jozale Levie z.l. and take the obligation to feed and provide for mrs. Rachel, widow of the la te Aron Levie z.l, and to supply her with all her needs and give her a place to live in our home for the rest of our days, and we can't come back on this; for in return the aforementioned widow gave us as seat in the women's section of the grea t synagogue, and let this be registered on our 'folio'. On 28 Elul 5494 appears before the trustees of the jewish community mrs. Rachel, widow of the late Aron Levie z.l. and states that as she has given one seat in the women's section (between [the spouse of?] khr"r Getschlik Weren and mrs. Tserle ) to naaleh Abraham bar Joseph Jozale halevi z.l. on condition that he will feed and provide for her and care for all her needs all her lifedays, as registered in the minutebook of the community and according to the act he gave her; she now give s her agreement in good will without any pressure or compulsion that from this seat fl. 40,- will be paid on a note of debt from mr. Abraham aforementioned to Zadok of the community; and both mrs. Rachel the widow and mr. Abraham signed this ac t before us. On 5 Tishre 5493 three seats in the great synagogue formerly theproperty of the late Aron Levie z.l. are sold by auction in the greatsynagogue - the 3rd seat is in the women's section, between khr"r Getschlig Weren and mrs. Tserle, and this seatwas acquired by naaleh Abraham bar Moshe Joseph Jozale Levie for theamount of fl. 257,-. According to the statement of the trustees Aron Levie z.l. took offand became a fugitive before his death, and left all his property inhands of the directors & executives of the 'desolate boedelskamer' inthis city, and among this property were tho se seats; and the governorsof the desolate boedelskamer, may their pomp heighten, gave ampleempowerment and authorisation at the hands of naaleh torani khr"r Leibben late pum khr"r Gumprich z.l. to announce and sell these seats inthe great synagog ue and to obtain the payments from the buyers and totransport the seats in the protocoll to the folio of the buyers, andall of this was registered in teir minutebook, called the 38thnotulebook on page 470; and thus everything was executed: the sea tswere announced three times, according to the rules of our community,in order that anyone who has demands on these seats, may come forward,and when they do not, they have lost their rights; and nobody cameforward; and thus the seats were sol d by auction to the highest bidderon 20 Elul 5492 in attendance of the alufim parnassim and before thetrustees and in attendance of torani khr"r Leib aforementioned; the1st seat was sod for the amount of fl. 521,- to aluf katsin khr"rGumpel ben ka tsin pum khr"r Menachem Man Kleef m.h.l. from Hamburg,and the trustees registerde this seat in the protocoll on his folio;the 2nd seat was sold to naaleh Uri Peis bar Samuel hakohen z.l. forthe amount of fl. 362,-; the 3rd seat was sold to naale h Abraham barMoshe Joseph Jozli Levie for the amount of fl. 257,- Event: event Jul 1733 Amsterdam on 8 Tammuz 5493 appears before the trustees of the jewish community the couple Lea bat Judaleib Levie z.l. & spouse naaleh Abraham bar Moshe Joseph Jozale Levie z.l. and take a loan for the amount of fl.200,- from naaleh Aron ben mhor"r Meshula m Zemel z.l. Hecht-Levie, and as collateral they introduce 1 seat in the women's section, between Getschlig Weren and mrs. Tserle , which they own in the great synagogue. [it seems, that this seat was included in the collateral consisting of three seats, given on 15 Sivan 5481 by the lending couple Aberle ben Moshe Nathan from Ler z.l. & Lea bat Judaleib Levie z.l. and which fell by default to the extending party , the guardians of the orphans of Aron Levie; on 5 Tishre 5493 these seats were auctioned, etc] Married VR 1728 to: Anna Jacob, died Jul 1728 Amsterdam, Muiderberg cemetery: on 12 Tammuz 5488 - wife of Abraham ben Jozlen Levie. |
