Active and dedicated genealogist since about 1990.

After rounding up ancestors residing primarily in Amsterdam from 1630 and on until WW II, now taking inventory of all the Ashkenazi residents in "Mokum" until first quarter of 19th century.

Primary data come from rabbinical marriage and engagement acts, preserved partly in the municipal archive of the city of Amsterdam.

An expert in reading and deciphering old rabbinical Hebrew handwriting.

Research results are published as a separate database on the Dutch Jewish Genealogical Database of Akevoth.

Member of the Genealogical Response Group of Akevoth, especially answering queries in his field of expertise.

Living in Jerusalem since 1966, after having been born in Amsterdam. 1940.

Physicist by education, married, father & grandfather.
