Event: event 9 Feb 1753 legal claim to be wed by chuppa in Amsterdam in a legal claim before the authorites of the town the couple Marcus Levie & Roosie Levie, whose banns were published on 20 Aug 1752, but did not get authorisation of the Jewish community to get legally wed by the rabbi, now demand their rights.
They state, that their Jewish engagement (tnaim rishonim) had taken place on 6 May 1751, as becomes. Their Jewish wedding should have taken place on 11 Jun 1752.
Now they demand that on Friday night the groom will be sung for in the synague, on Saturday morning he should be called up for the book of Mozes, on Tuesday thereafter - the 'sablones' day - he should be handed the 'sablones' chain by the chiefrab bi, and the Wednesday following he should be married by the chiefrabbi in person!
[it seems, that in translation of the Jewish date of the engagement - 11 Ijar 5511 - a mistake was made, and instead of 25 Apr 1751as is correct, the date 6 May 1751 was stated. This 'translation' agrees with the previous year 5510/1750!]
