Event: event Feb 1779 changing status of seat in synagogue of Amsterdam On 17 Shevat 5539 appear before the trustees of the jewish community the couples Frumet bat k"h Abraham Chazzan-Segal z.l. & spouse Leib ben k"h Abraham Koppels, and Gitche bat k"h Abraham Chazan z.l. aforementioned & spouse Matti' ben Samson Schw eid, and Tserla bat k"h Abraham Chazzan z.l. aforementioned & spouse Moshe ben El'azar Cohen, and state, that they have received from their br.-in-law/his brother Hirsch ben k"h Abraham Koppels z.l. all that should come to them from the seat nr . 10, which their father/f.-in-law the late hr"r Abraham Chazzan-Segal z.l. left behind him; and now the 3 sisters and their spouses distance themselves, their offspring and their agents from this seat, as we the witnesses have seen by their under signing of the act of transaction before the trustees of our community on the outgoing Shabbat, the eve of Sunday the 17th of Cheshvan 5526, and as we have seen now; and we as well have now seen the will of the late Hirsch ben k"h Abraham Koppel s z.l. aforementioned, which was made up before notary Domenicus Geniets & witnesses on Apr 12th, 1766, in which it was stated that all his estate and especially the seat in the great synagogue will go in equal parts to his two daughters Lea, wh o is married to Ferli ben k"h Jacob Chazzan-Segal z.l. and Hanna, who is married to gabay-tsedaka Leizer ben k"h Jacob Gans-Segal z.l; however his [Hirsch's] brother Leib will have the option to use this seat as his own during all his lifedays fo r free.
3) Hartog Hirsch Abraham Itert koppel, died 2 MEI 1766 Amsterdam, Muiderberg cemetery: on 23 Ijar 5526 - Hirsch ben Abraham Itert.
Event: event 1758 death of child Zeeburg cemetery: on 11 Shevat 5518 - a son of Hartog Itert, son-in-law of Abraham Chazzan.
Event: event 1779 execution of will in Amsterdam Hirsch ben k"h Abraham Koppels seems to be the testamentary executor of the will of [his father in law?] Abraham Schats Segal, as becomes clear from his own testament, made up on 12 April 1766 before notary Domenicus Geniets; in this last testamen t the father leaves all his belongings to his daughters Lea, married to Ferli ben k"h Jacob Chazzan Segal, and Hanna, married to Leizer ben k"h Jacob Gans Segal z.l;
in the rabbinical act of 5539 it is stated, that specifically concerning a seat in the great synagogue, which belonged to Abraham Schats Segal, all his inheritors: Frumet bat k"h Abraham Schats Segal, married to Leib ben k"h Abraham Koppels and Gi tche bat k"h Abraham Schats Segal, married to Mattitja ben Samson Schweid, and Tserla bat k"h Abraham Schats Segal, married to Moshe ben El'azar Cohen, received from their brother/brother-in-law the late Hirsch ben k"h Abraham Koppels their par t of the inheritance,
as stated in an act made up before the trustees of jewish community on16 Cheshvan 5526, signed by the 3 sisters and their spouses and seen now [1779] by the contempory trustees.
However, if Leib Koppels should be interested to use this seat in the synagogue, he may do so for free as long as he lives, although the seat belongs to Hirsch Koppels' daughters.
